Sharing each other's sorrows

I came across the blog of Courtney Roth today. She is a mom who had a little boy with a rare genetic skin disorder. He passed away last month and as I read her last few entries about mourning his loss, it was like I was reading from my own story. I felt every bit of pain, hurt, and emptiness that she was expressing. It was very weird. I've spent the last half hour crying my eyes out, both for her loss and for my own. Thankfully, she is also a believer and has the assurance that her little guy is now in heaven. But as I know too well, that doesn't minimize the agony of missing your child.

I just wanted to pass her story along, in case you'd like to pray for her. Here's her blog: "EB"ing a Mommy.

  1. My mom has been following her blog for years now. My heart aches for hers and yours, too.

  2. Thanks for sharing, it just makes me so sad, so many young moms whose lives are changed forever! How thankful I am for a faithful God who holds all our babies in His arms.

  3. We almost lost our son Brayden to bacterial meningitis, at 9 wks. He will be six on 3-3-12. You and Courtney share something no one wants to share and speak a language that I can understand, but only you and Courtney and spouses can truly grasp I imagine by just seeing each others eyes! Thank God she is a believer as well. I can't imagine no matter the feelings towards our heavenly Papa at the hardest times( He can take it), not having Him to scream, pray, cry & rejoice with. He knows these feelings as well. Thanks for sharing her blog as well:) continued grace and blessings, Julia! Been praying for ya with this pregnancy as well! Is Claire getting excited? Blessings, Julia .... Shelly Brown
